So once you enable package restore then the following should be added to the nuget.config file inside of the .nuget folder to change the location: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <configuration> ... <config> <add key="repositoryPath" value="..\..\Packages" /> </config> ... </configuration> (This is important) If you make ANY changes to the package folder location inside of the nuget.config files you must restart visual studio or close/reload the solution for the changes to take effect
